Hello Friends, These are my Masters Picks

It’s The Masters…in NOVEMBER. I can’t friggin wait. Saturday, with College Football and Round 3 on simultaneously, will be like a top 7 all time sports viewing day for me. And if you’re anything like me, you’re going to want to make it interesting, and throw some hard-earned units on some of the action. So, in a tradition unlike any other, here is my betting analysis.

So head on up to NH (or Rockport) and place those online bets, kids. These odds are to win, but I’d recommend all types of bets…top 10, 20, 50…whatever. Spread the money around.

All odds are from our friends in the desert, the Action Network….but, still fuck Darren Rovell

Favorites

A quick buy/sell on some of the favorites

Bryson Dechambeau (+750): Everyone has him as the favorite, he’s playing great, and he works harder than everyone else. But…too much hype for me, no value here. I’ll pass. SELL

Dustin Johnson (+850): Four straight top 10’s at Augusta, and has been on a helluva run lately. Starting with the PGA Championship, his finishes since are: T2-1-2-1-6-T2… including a Tour Championship and a FedEx cup. I hate this guy, but throwing some money at him. BUY

John Rahm (+1050): For all the talk of Dechambeau off the tee, Rahm was 4th in Strokes Gained off the tee, and the stats tell us he’s better on approach than Bryson. The key, as always, with Rahm, is the putter. Also, did you hear, TWO Holes-in-one this week at Augusta? BUY

Justin Thomas (+1300): Logically, picking Thomas makes a lot of sense. His game plays to Augusta, he’s never missed a cut there, and has basically improved every year he’s played. On the downside, he’s never cracked the Top 10 here, and since his run as Best in the World, he’s has not been close to that standard. If you haven’t been in contention on Sunday at Augusta, you don’t get my money. At least not at 13/1. SELL

Xander Schauffle (+1600): By now, we all know he hangs around in every big tournament. But, the numbers also back it up. He is great off the tee (Top 10 in Strokes Gained), and he can FLAT OUT PUTT (3rd in Strokes Gained). I’m going to keep betting on him until he wins one. And he’s a better payout than Rory- that’s good value.  STRONG BUY

Mid-Range Sleepers Picks (>+2000)

The these guys for good value:

Patrick Reed (+3000): He’s a dick. He’s been wildly inconsistent for over a year. Did I mention he’s a dick? But, he won here in 2018, we know he’s a big game player, and the guy fucks with the putter. People are going to throw money at Tiger, if I’m shopping in that range, give me Reed.

Tony Finau (+3300): He’s another one who always seems to be around on Sunday. He’s been 12th in Strokes gained on Tour since the start of last season. Not a lot of talk about him entering the week…perfect sleeper.

Jordan Spieth (+7000): I saw him on another site at +4000, now even if that was opening line, that’s a TON of movement. What do they know? Well, probably a hell of a lot more than me. But, someday, he’s going to get the ship back on the tracks…and I’m going to be there to cash a ticket when he does.

Super Sleepers: The Kevin Malone’s

Justin Kokrak (+9000): What does he do well? No idea. What’s his makeup like? Got me. But he’s a hot hand this right now, and a great payout.

Graeme McDowell (+50,000): Fan favorite. My favorite golfer of the last 15 years. Everyone around the game loves this guy, and that’s worth a few bucks to me.

BONUS BET: J Patrick Cunnion Special

First Time Winner: +750

There you go…have fun and gamble away. Fun fact: gambling on golf, is not addictive.
