Hi-Top Top 5 – NHL Goal Songs

As the #1 Hockey blog on the internet it is Hi-Top’s sworn duty to dive deep into all aspects of the Lord Stanley’s Cup Playoffs. And while hand shake lines and power plays may get all the headlines true puck heads know that the real measure of a team come playoff time is what happens after the lamp gets lit. Today we are counting down the best Goal Songs from the teams competing for the 2019 Cup.

Hi-Top Top 5 Playoff Goal Songs

5. Boston Bruins – Zombie Nation

Let’s be honest here folks. It’s time for a change. The B’s have been rocking Zombie Nation for what feels like an eternity. It certainly had its moment, nobody can deny that but that moment has passed.

4. Toronto Maple Leafs – You Make My Dreams

Toronto is besting the B’s on the ice and after the horn. Hall & Oates works precisely cuz it shouldn’t. It’s unexpected. It’s fun. Just like a night out in Toronto. If you’ve never been, you’re missing out. Real hidden gem of a city.

3. Nashville Predators – I Like It, I Love It

If the Preds didn’t go country then it’d be the upset of the century. They had to go country. At least it’s something that people can sing along too. Not my cup of tea but I’m not here to judge, I’m just here to judge.

2. Chicago Blackhawks – Chelsea Dagger

As a baseline for any goal song, you need something an entire arena of drunk idiots can all manage to scream at the same time. Chelsea Dagger by the Fratellis fits the bill and then some.

1. Pittsburgh Penguins – Party Hard

A truly great goal song has an upbeat rhythm, a fist pumping groove and something you can scream. Party Hard gets an A+ in all three categories. Head and shoulders above all the rest.
