Hi-Top Legend Keith Richards of The Rolling Stones turns 75 today.
Let’s start by getting 1 thing straight – the Lil’ Dogg is Team Rolling Stones all day, every day, every way and the Beatles can go kick rocks. The Beatles are a children’s group, they sing children’s songs. They’re basically a more successful Wiggles. Sure John Lennon tried to inject some “importance” into their music but they started off singing about holding hands and progressed to singing about submarines and hammers and gardens.
On the other hand the Stones wanted other parts of your girl and moved on to the Devil and anything and everything in between.
The Stones are Rock n Roll. And while Mick is the Face. Keef is the heart and soul of the band.
Just take a look at this badass Mofo:
The joke was that Keef would never make it out of the 60s. Then it was the 70s and then the 80s. And here we are in 2018 and he’s 3 quarters of a century old and still kicking ass.
If Rock Music is truly dead (and it certainly looks that way) then the man who everyone predicted would burn out so fast ended up outliving the music itself.
Long live Keef. Long live Rock n Roll.
