College Football – Week 1 is in the Books

The first week of Football is now official. So what did we learn????

– The SEC is good (again)

– Nick Saban is a dick (always)

– Football in the state of Florida is lost in the wilderness (still)

So basically we learned nothing that we didn’t already now…..what’s the sound??????

Could it be?????? It can’t be?????? Is?? Is????

Well let’s not get ahead of ourselves here folks. We know all the millions and millions of die hard Fighting Irish fans, 0.0% of whom actually attended the school (the closest most of these jambronis ever got to South Bend was a poorly conceived tattoo and a degree from Notre Dame’s “sister school” Stonehill where they totally could have transferred to ND if they wanted to) have already drunk the Kool-Aid. And who can blame them, it’s Cupcake City on the schedule for the next month before hosting Stanford.

But are the Irish for real???

(And also Jim Harbough ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚)

Wimbush didn’t exactly set the world on fire. He made some plays with his arm and his feet but whether he’s a transcendent game changer remains to be seen. Alabama has proven you can go a long way with just a serviceable QB but sadly for Irish die hards Bama has a roster chalk full of 5 star studs at every position, especially the Line. And Notre Dame just doesn’t stack up in that regard.

The Good News – Notre Dame should be 4-0 heading into the Stanford game at home.

The Bad News – The Irish’s other high profile game is against Virginia Tech who look pretty pretty pretty good after destroying FSU on the road.

Other Notables

Circle November 3 folks.

This will be good.
