I went to a Boxing Match last night and a basketball game broke out. Yes it was Fight Night in the Only League That Matters. Let’s get right to the fisticuffs:
The Undercard – Ben Simmons v Kyle Lowry
Things got a little heated and the two decided to “take this outside”:
Respect all around on this one. Ben Simmons motions to the hallway, that takes balls but Lowry sprinting off to meet him – that dude means business.
Alas both players claim that the other did not show up for the show down.
The Main Event – Rockets v Clippers
As everyone knows Chris Paul left the Clippers for the Rockets this past off season. Apparently it was not an amicable parting because things got heated during and after the game:
Blake Griffin was in a mood but at least it was with the other team and not his training staff this time:
Even ol’ Jerry West got into the melee:
But after the game is when things got REALLY interesting:
So the Rockets just marched up to the Clips locker room and said, “Let’s Fight!” Not exactly:
THEY SENT A DIVERSION TO THE FRONT DOOR AND TRIED TO AMBUSH FROM THE BACK. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Is that a genius move or a punk move? I ride or die with Gerald Green so this is genius all the way.
The Clippers took their fight to Twitter –
Pat Beverly says Lob City is now Jab City:
And Blake Griffin, well I’m not quite sure what this means:
All in all it ends up being a whole lot of talking and tweeting and no action but that’s the actually why NBA fights are the best fights or at least the most entertaining.
