Honestly, this guy never doubted this team for a second! Don’t bother looking back at past articles, trust me. I’ve been on their side since day 1.
On the first day of winter the black and gold hosted the Winnipeg Jets and their young superstar Patrick Laine.
Bruins got on the board first when Torey Krug ripped one from the point through a screen past former UMass Lowell goalie Connor Hellebuyck
Jets would answer right back as the afore mentioned Laine showed why he was in the NHL at 18.
After a scoreless overtime this one would need to be settled in a shootout. Thats when my man, and birthday boy, McAvoy looked over at Butch Cassidy and said, “Hold My Beer”
The kid celebrating turing 20 by improving his career shootout record to 2-2 as a defenseman. Did I mention he should only be a Junior at BU right now?
However, the big news of the night comes from the Bruins net. Tuukka Rask has had a hell of month of December and has put a lot of doubters, including my cousin Joey, at ease. Tuukka made 37 saves last night and has won 7 of his last 8 starts. In fact he hasn’t lost a game in regulation since November 26th. The B’s are only 2 point behind Toronto for 2nd in the Atlantic division and have 3 games on hand.
The boys are back at in tomorrow as they host Original 6 rival the Detroit Red Wings. The wings have been struggling this season but nothing is ever certain in this league.
Prediction: Bruins W 3-1.
