Lunch Break Preview- Celtics vs Mavs

The Dallas Mavericks have precisely one thing going for them this year – Dennis Smith Jr:

Athletic is an understatement here. Russ Westbrook is the comparison that’s been made the most but as Kyrie so elegantly said recently, “Comparison is the thief of joy”. So instead of comparing DSJ, just sit back and enjoy him:

The rest of the Mavs are hot doo-doo. I’m not sure how old Dirk is now but it’s quite old. They are 3-2 in their last five with a win over OKC but that ain’t worth much these days. They’re 25th in Offensive rating and 18th defensively so the 7-17 record is certainly deserved. Again the only reason the Mavs get mentioned outside of the Dallas-Fort Worth area is Dennis Smith Jr.

The Celtics themselves are on a new streak…a hot shooting streak. Monday night’s win over the Bucks was probably their most complete game of the season so far. 55% from the floor, 45% from three with 60 points in the paint. Execution of excellence on the Offensive and Defensive ends of the court.

Will it continue against the Mavs? I certainly expect it will.
