Lunch Break Preview – Celtics go for 15

The Celtics are on the road tonight in Atlanta going for win number fifteen in a row.

The quick scouting report on the Hawks is:

Atlanta is 2-8 in their last 10 and 3-12 overall. This is not the Hawks from a few years ago. They are in full tankapolooza mode this year. Their best player has been PG Dennis Schroder who’s scoring 19.9 ppg. The rest of the Hawks are a “who’s who” of who is that????

Now there’s always talk of an “emotional letdown” after a big win like the C’s had on Thursday. But with the day off and travel it shouldn’t be factor. It’s back to business and if there’s one thing (there’s not there’s about a million) that Coach Stevens is great at its getting the guys focused on the task at hand.

So we should be looking at easy pickings tonight. A nice return to comfort win with hopefully no more injury hiccups.

🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻 for Kyrie and his battle with his face mask. He’s #maskon tonight so keep an eye on his comfort level.

Eyes will also be on Thursday night’s star Jaylen Brown. As widely reported he’s dealing with the sudden unexpected death of a close friend and the emotional rollercoaster of a breakout performance against the Warriors could only have added to the pressure the youngster is facing on and off the court. It will be interesting to see his energy level against the Hawks after what had to have been a draining week.

Prediction: Celtics 110 Hawks 95
