No official announcement has been made by the Boston Celtics but all sources seem to indicate that Kyrie Irving will be back in action against the resurgent Brooklyn Nets tonight.
And it will mark the return of Masked Kyrie:
Unfortunately the NBA has outlawed the Black Mask that Kyrie sported back in 2013 so this time around he’ll be rocking the clear version but nonetheless it bears noting that Masked Kyrie averaged 25 points per game and actually improved his shooting over his normal rates.
This is as much a testament to Irving’s internal drive and motivation as to the mask itself. Irving thrives under pressure and adversity so expect no dip in his so far stellar season starting performance as he returns to the court, hopefully, tonight.
